The Waqf Project

Give to the Waqf

The Waqf initiative is an Islamic endowment to a religious organisation or charity. The project will allow continuous investment and income generation to alleviate the need for regular donations.

We are looking for individuals who can donate or raise a minimum of £1,000. Choose to pledge over the year, give monthly or make a one-off donation.

Gift Aid

If you pay enough UK Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax, Gift Aid adds 25p to every £1 you give, at no cost to you.

Dar al-Zahra (UK) is a registered charity in England and Wales, so we can claim an additional 25% from the government on donations made by UK taxpayers.

To submit our claim we need a declaration from every donor. Your full name and address are needed to identify you as a current UK taxpayer. This counts as a one-time declaration for all your past and future donations.

If you have donated to Dar al-Zahra in the last 4 years, please complete the short declaration form. If you are unsure of the last payment you made, we suggest you donate £1 first, and then complete the form.
